Predator Cues patent pending Vault Plate re-configures the tension points between the Victory Tip, V-TEK Tip Silencer, R2 molecular multi-density foam, and carbon fiber composite tube to create a structure that is stronger from every axis. The REVO shaft accomplishes all this along with less mass and a higher level of kinetic energy transfer.

R2 Molecular Multi-Density Foam

The R2 molecular multi-density foam fills the shaft with multiple densities at precise positions to increase or decrease stiffness allowing the transfer of consistent feedback to the player ‘s hand.

V-TEK Fiber Tip Silencer

The V-TEK Tip Silencer creates a more durable and more tactile gluing surface that preserves the Vault Plate, while creating an audibly pleasing sound upon contact with the cue ball.

Woven fibers have long been the demanded standard of carbon fiber construction, but they are not necessarily the best for every application. Predator Cues has long understood both the strength and the role of carbon fiber weave. However, modern advances in fiber technology and production methods have led Predator to take a distinctive design procedure. Earlier, a woven fabric was the standard for the external covering of any carbon component. Now, new aerospace-grade carbon fiber tow construction methods and new fiber placement theories allow Predator Cues to tune the shaft by conforming the carbon fiber tow in the directions most suitable for a particular location in the cue shaft itself.

 

Low-Rise Taper

The low-rise taper is the result of the REVO shafts ‘ unique construction and strength. This construction method allows for a remarkably straight taper increasing only five percent on the REVO 12.9 and eight percent on the REVO 12.4, over the first fourteen inches of the cue shaft.

This process involves measuring the shaft ‘s surface using a diamond stylus profilometer. This finish motif keeps Revo pool cues shafts from being either under polished (creating a less than the desirable coarse finish) or over polished (creating a glossy or sticky surface often exhibited on low-quality fiberglass composite shafts).
